I am always all in for afternoon weddings, especially if it means I can be in bed by 9:00 P.M. (Sleep is great, okay - and going to bed early never happens as a wedding photographer). I was so ecstatic to shoot Kayla and Mason's wedding at the Versailles Ballroom in March.
One of my favorite wedding trends is rose gold (I hope that it never goes away!) - and Kayla just about took the cake on this one. Even the rustic invitations balanced the blushing, golden colors of the wedding! Her bridesmaids wore stunning, shimmery rose gold gowns that just made her pop in her off-the-shoulder gown. Even the flower girls wore muted rose gold dresses, helping to tie everyone together. It is a stunning color next to the groomsmen's charcoal suits.
Kayla was an absolute beauty with her romantic updo (Mary Santiago) and her smoldering makeup (Jessica Jackson). I'm so glad that the rain held off for the couple's first look! One of my favorite pictures is of Mason embracing his bride after seeing her. I will never get tired of capturing the look of love on couple's faces.
The Versailles Ballroom was decorated in white, rose gold and soft pink lights, making it so romantic as Kayla walked down the aisle. The lighting was also great for the other fun festivities of the day, like the garter toss and the tons of dancing that went on!
And surprise! Baby Dubelbeis is on its way - I'll also be capturing Kayla's maternity photos! Stay tuned ...
