Sterling Ballroom Wedding Photographer| Tinton Falls, New Jersey

On a cold day in January of 2017, I had the pleasure of photographing Scott and Kristin's engagement shoot, so it say that I was excited to photograph their wedding 7 months later, is a total understatement.

Scott and Kristin were married at the Sterling Ballroom in Tinton Falls, New Jersey in front a wonderful group of friends and family. I love working with the Sterling Ballroom because they really know how to host and organize a gorgeous wedding- they also work well with wedding photographer and other vendors-very accommodating.

Kristin and Scott's wedding was your beautifully themed romantic day-every detail and piece was romantic and vintage in nature-clean style and simple tones. Everyone looked stunning and dapper. Kristin and Scott are another one of my favorite couples because of their sense of humor and how well they compliment each other. Plain and simple, they are by far the cutest of couples. And their friends and family are just as amazing--funny, great senses of humor, loving.

I love, love, love when a couple makes the decision to do "first looks"-it's a chance for the soon-to-be husband and wife to have a private moment with no distractions. They get to take a moment to look at each other, take it all in, sneak a kiss, shed a tear, say something meaningful and funny. So when Kristin and Scott had their first look, the intimacy of the moment is what makes my job so worth it.

Kristin and Scott's reception was lovely. The lighting was beautiful, their floral arrangements and place settings weren't overwhelming, which I like. It's nice to be able to appreciate the wedding details throughout the reception when there isn't too much going on. It's always best to select your favorite wedding inspirations and make it your own-and that's exactly what Kristin and Scott did.

It was definitely a magical day for both Scott and Kristin, their family and their friends and I couldn't be happier to be a part of it.

Here's to forever, Kristin and Scott-

Fun fact: I didn't officially meet Sarah and Matt until their big day. But that didn't mean they didn't treat me like I was family. And that made me feel truly connected to them. They were incredibly easy to get along with and their friendliness and warmth, made their day go by so fast for us!

Their chemistry was beyond! They meshed so perfectly well together and you could see that throughout their day. The weather was a bit chilly, BUT SO WORTH IT. It was just such a sweet day.

The foliage at St. Joseph's University was stunning with bright reds, greens, and oranges. We did photos at St. Joseph's because that's where they met, so it had understandable meaning to them. I thought that was so special and sweet that the location they chose for portraits had such significance to them.

After photos, we headed over to Drexelbrook for a few quick night time shots outside! It was such a gorgeous venue and I was so happy to get a few really amazing evening photographs. Especially the one of Matt spinning her in the gazebo!

Afterwards, an amazing celebration took place. Every single person was having the best time. Dancing, laughing, joking around, kissing, hugging. There was such warmth and love swirling throughout everyone, it was easy to catch the same feeling.

"We absolutely loved the pictures, but what we loved even more was how comfortable you made us feel! It was a completely painless process and for that we can't thank you enough!" - Sarah Taylor

Here's to forever, Sarah and Matt-

Jackie and Jim are one of the coolest couples I've worked with. They both have an intense love for music. Jim is in a band and even DJs for a handful of weddings a year! Every little detail of their ceremony had aspects of music woven in.

September 10th was a scorcher of a day, but Jackie and Jim didn't let the rays get to them. Their outdoor ceremony, held at the Crystal Point Yacht Club, was absolutely beautiful with the water as their background.

When it came time to celebrate Jackie and Jim's special day, every element of their reception tied into music-which I absolutely loved!

Each table, in place of numbers, was a band name for each concert they've ever been to.

Each guest's seating card looked exactly like a ticket to a concert. For their guestbook they had records for guests to sign.

They certainly didn't skimp out on their DJ - This Is It really was amazing. They kept every guest dancing all night long. The energy never slowed down or stopped.

At the end of the night, a bunch of their guests surprised them by coming out with trumpets, pots and pans with drum sticks, you name it! It was an amazing end to a musical evening.

The day came together perfectly and I was so happy for them. I cannot wait to get their album and canvas to them so they can display their wedding photos for everywhere to enjoy!

Here's to forever, Jackie & Jim-

Heather and Anthony's wedding was a beautiful example of a summer wedding. Even when it rained, Heather's "it is what it is" attitude made, what could have been a damper on her day, only a more positive experience. And isn't it known to be good luck if it rains on your wedding day? Well, Heather and Anthony, your luck will last a lifetime.

They are unbelievably magnificent together. I'll never forget photographing them and thinking to myself how sweet their love is, how silly their love is-unaffected by anyone else in the room, while they were together.

Heather and Anthony's wedding was held at The Crystal Ballroom, which is owned by Hotels Unlimited, in Howell, New Jersey. It's always a pleasure working with The Crystal Ballroom-their staff is so wonderful, accommodating and pleasant. They catered to Heather, Anthony, their family and all of their guests and that's really important when choosing the perfect vendor for your wedding. You want to be able to find a location that makes you feel like part of the family, not just another name in a bride's planner.

Heather and Anthony's style was elegant romanticism submerged in navy, blushes, and golds. The bride's dress, by Madison James, hugged her frame seamlessly as she complimented her groom's clean-lined navy tuxedo, by Stephen Geoffrey. Details in a wedding, whether it be in the ceremony or reception make the experience. Heather and Anthony's romantic details tied their personal style and their couple style together exquisitely.

What I adored also about Heather and Anthony's wedding, was how absolutely welcoming their family was; especially Anthony's father. So super nice! He kept asking Michael and me if we needed anything and if we were alright. I've said this before, when a couple and their families make you feel like one of them, it makes the entire experience even better.

Here's to forever, Heather & Anthony-

Stacie & Chris Clune: May 9th, 2015

I hold Stacie and Chris near and dear to my heart. Their wedding was held at the Greenbriar Oceanaire Country Club in Waretown, New Jersey on a gorgeous day and the energy permeated through every minute and every guest. Their wedding day was a day before my birthday and I will never forget Stacie giving me a birthday card. Moments like that, make certain shoots I've done, more memorable.

Stacie's personality cannot be matched; she's hysterical, spunky, electric and yet, Chris matches her perfectly. The relationship they have, not only with one another, but with their bridal party was so vibrant, so apparent. Every where I turned, every where I pointed my camera, there was a smile to be captured, a laugh to be heard and comment to smirk at.

The style of the wedding was crisp, light and beautifully detailed. Stacie's dress was a traditional cut with a contemporary flare that paired perfectly with her bridesmaids, groomsmen and obviously her groom. I will never forget how Stacie's hair accessory caught the natural light every time she turned her head, how a simple style could captivate so perfectly.

Stacie and Chris had written letters to each other on their wedding day and I do have to say, watching them intently read word by word was simply adorable. It was as if no one was in the room with them. Everything seemed to just disappear. And I captured it. I was so thrilled to have captured it.

In my blogs, I always talk about moments, I talk about details, simplicity, stunning personalities. But these are the things that make the experience, an experience, for me. Each wedding sets itself apart from the next one, not because one is better than the next or more extravagant than the next, but because you feel the energy. Stacie and Chris' energy was undeniable, unavoidable...detailed, stunning, simplistic.

Here's to forever, Stacie & Chris-

Lindsay & Weston Kandrick: September 19th, 2015

Lindsay and Weston's wedding had an interesting beginning, but the sweetest ending.

I was contacted the day before their wedding and they were understandably frantic because their original photographer had gotten into a car accident and was in the hospital. Lindsay and Weston were left with no photographer and in obvious need of one.

Lindsay and Weston's nuptials were held at the Chester Valley Golf Club in Malvern, PA. It was a gorgeous day; I love photographing outdoors. Especially this particular day, there were beautiful clouds in the sky, the weather was perfect, the vast land and gorgeous backgrounds the Gold Club offered was breathtaking.

Their wedding decor was darling. It was simple and sweet, Lindsay and Weston's love illuminated every arrangement, every sign, every place setting. Their style was classic, laid-back, inviting.

What I loved the most about Lindsay and Weston was their total love, strong faith and belief in one another. There was an immediate energy I felt when I was in their presence and also in the presence of their families. It was definitely something to look up to. I feel it was something all of us should look up to.

The photo above has got to be one of my favorite photos from their day. Lindsay is photographed resting her head on Weston's shoulder as they both recited a prayer to bless their marriage. It was probably one of the most humbling of moments to witness. In that moment, it was clear, it wasn't about the reception or the dress, the gifts or suits. It was about Lindsay and Weston. It was about the devotion of the rest of their lives together. It was about their love. It was about nothing else.

I love personal family and friend(s) touches to a couple's ceremony or reception. It displays a union, not only between the couple getting married,  but between two families, two sets of friends. Lindsay and Weston's wedding cake was baked and decorated by Lindsay's grandmother. Their favors and decor had cute humor intertwined throughout that best showed everyone who Lindsay and Weston truly are, separately, but especially together.

Sometimes, a lot of us forget the elegance of simplicity and minimalism. This does not mean that simplicity and minimalism is boring, to me, it means: fresh, open, complete, focused. Lindsay and Weston's wedding was elegant and simple. The perfect pairing of detail orientated and minimalist tone. Lindsay and Weston will always have a place in my heart. They truly mean a lot to me, I love them both.

Here's to forever, Lindsay and Weston-

Jackie & Phil Jackson: May 29th, 2015.

Jackie and Phil Jackson's wedding was definitely an event to be remembered and photographed. I was referred to them by their friends, Stacie and Chris, whom I had photographed for their own wedding a couple of weeks prior.

Jackie and Phil are the type of couple you know have fun. Jackie's personality is beyond a delight; colorful, warm, inviting and her husband, Phil, is the perfect compliment to such a glowing personality.

Their immaculately detailed wedding was held at one of my favorite venues, The Versailles Ballroom at The Ramada in Toms River, New Jersey. The Versailles Ballroom is always a pleasure to work with because every person that is involved in the planning and set up of an event sees to it that it's perfect. The Versailles Ballroom was the ideal venue for a wedding like Jackie and Phil's. I was elated to be photographing there and just as elated capturing the beautiful moments of Jackie and Phil's day.

I love photographing pieces that complete the wedding's aura. The dress, the suits, the color palette, floral arrangements and so on and so forth. Jackie's wedding dress was a great combination of both classic and modern style. A pale pink Mermaid styled dress that fit her exquisitely went beautifully with her golden Badgley Mischka stilettos and pale pink and ivory bouquet of Peonies. Her bridal ladies donned crisp, clean lined floor length dresses in Ivory and the groom and his gentlemen looked wonderful in relaxed, yet timeless neutral suits.

The bridal party was just as fun and outgoing as the newly married couple, themselves. The entire day and evening I felt, as though, I was apart of the actual wedding, not just shooting it. I was embraced, like I was family and it added even more to the day for me.

Jackie and Phil's wedding was the first of my weddings, that I've photographed, in an elaborate sizable ceremony and reception. But the elaborate nature didn't once take away from the intimate and romantic energy that surrounded Jackie and Phil, that day. Everything was perfect, everything was beautiful, everything was captured just right.

Here's to forever, Jackie and Phil-
