I had an engagement session with Christina and Johnny back in January while Christina was home to celebrate the holiday's with her family and fiance. She was living in Ohio while she was doing her residency all while wedding planning and her and I became really good friends. Christina and Johnny even brought their fur baby, Stella, along for the engagement shoot as well and she was such a peach!

Christina and Johnny's wedding was a perfectly constructed romantic Summer wedding. Every detail screamed a June wedding and I loved it! Christina's dress has got to be one of the sweetest dresses I've seen in a long time and I absolutely loved the pop of color blue shoe! The tone of blue hues and sunflowers completed the tone from the groomsmen's ties, to the table settings at the reception.

Their ceremony at the church was elegant and romantic and when we arrived at The Stone House at Stirling Ridge, I caught the feels. Everything flowed so sweetly together. AND just for the record, any wedding that has The Motones playing at their reception, is a guaranteed good time. The Motones are probably the best wedding bands EVER and I was so excited I got to see them live and in action at Christina and Johnny's wedding. They were mind blowing.

The night ended with a 'smores bonfire AND a pork roll sandwich truck for a hot breakfast "sammie" when you left. NEW JERSEY STYLE. It was by far one of the sweetest weddings I've attended. I'm so blessed to have Christina as such a good friend and I look forward to it blossoming in the years to come!

Here's to forever, Christina & Johnny-

I love Matthew and Heather's engagement story. Matt got down on one knee and asked the important question after he and his soon-to-be fiance crossed the finish line after a 26.2 mile marathon in Disney. How he managed to keep the ring in his pocket the entire time is beyond me, but he did and she said yes!

They both planned a beautifully elegant ceremony and reception at Laurita Winery, surrounded by views of sprawling land and a breathtaking sunset as they both made their vows to one another.

I was in awe of the uniqueness of the bridesmaid's dresses, among so many other things. Each lady of the bride wore a dress in the same color scheme, yet showcased their personal aesthetic by individual dress styles! It was creative and tied into the romanticism perfectly; the husband-to-be and his fellow groomsmen all donned light, yet dapper suits. Everyone paired exquisitely.

Another sweet detail were the flowers! Heather is allergic to authentic ones, she ordered from EcoFlowers and her crafty-creative bridesmaid arranged them all and they were too beautiful for words. They also gave out succulents as their wedding favors; succulents or any kind of cacti for the matter are perfect for anyone who suffers from pollen allergies. Just know that there are so many other options for floral arrangements and gifts other than silk ones.

As I walked throughout their ceremony and reception, capturing every memory of their day they could ever think of, I had the exciting moment of working along with one of my favorite vendors: Bahr Cinematography! I always feel wonderful when clients take my advice and choose to hire one of my preferred vendors, because we all work so well together and I feel the photos definitely reflect that.

Here's to forever, Heather & Matthew-

Alexandra & Andrew Jacoby: January 2nd, 2016

Alex and Andrew are such an amazing couple. Alex and I have been best friends for years, after high school. She is extremely bright, witty and so much fun to be around. Her husband Andrew is in the Navy and while he was stationed in Hawaii, Alex had planned their entire wedding in mere months.

It was an obvious cold day, but Alex and Andrew's love warmed up the day in its entirety. They both got ready at Alex's grandmothers' home and the two shared their "first look" there, as well. Both of their faces were priceless upon seeing one another for the first time, like I always say in my blogs, those are the moments I live for. To capture their "forever" in a photograph, it's elating.

I will never forget the sky on Alex and Andrew's day. It was the perfect hue of pinks and blues, they really couldn't get any luckier as far as beautiful days were concerned. The sky that surrounded them and their intimate, romantic ceremony was perfection.

Alex and Andrew's ceremony and reception were held with their closest family and friends present at a lovely location called Seabra's Armory in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Alex's dress was stunning, a Lazaro gown, it hugged her beautifully and the fur shrug was the perfect added winter touch. Her hair and makeup held a very old Hollywood look that complimented both her down and Andrew's uniform. It truly felt like the two of them were in a film, they were breathtaking.

There reception was just as lovely and classic. An adorable cupcake tower, friends and family dancing the night away, a candy car and a beautiful "In Memoriam" table for their loved ones who could not be present for their special day. Every bit of detail was just as intimate and romantic as the wedding itself. Just as romantic as their love, as intimate as their relationship.

I really did enjoy photographing Alex and Andrew's wedding, not only because of how amazing their wedding was, but because of the history I have with Alex. To witness your friendship grow, your friend grow, your friend get married and to have the honor of capturing all of that from behind a lens; makes my heart grow.

Here's to forever Alexandra & Andrew,

Meghan Leigh

Annie & Javier Morales: October 10th, 2015

Annie & Javier. These two are a match made in heaven. Now...Annie & Javier hadn't started dating right away, but...what they have now was right in front of them all along. They were best friends for 8 YEARS before they started dating. Since then, they have been inseparable. They balance each other out perfectly. It's a relationship to truly look up to. Their wedding was a beautiful autumn themed, DIY wedding. Annie had every detail planned, and she did not miss a thing!

Annie had gotten sick before her wedding day - pneumonia! Can I just say that Annie is the strongest woman I've had the pleasure of meeting? If she hadn't told me she was sick, I would have never known! She has a bubbly, fun, out-going personality. I felt like I had known her forever, and surprisingly - her wedding day was the first day we had actually met! We became friends from that moment!

Just how meticulous was Annie in planning her and Javier's big day? How can someone cover up pneumonia? Let me show you. Annie was GLOWING!

Even the guys looked awesome! I mean, check out those cuff links! Seriously!? I love when thought gets put into details like cuff links, it isn't something that gets thought about often. When it does, though....Really awesome things can occur. IE: Superhero cuff links on a wedding day.

Now on to the ceremony & reception...

Annie & Javier chose to have their wedding at the beautiful Royce Brook Golf Club in Hillsborough, New Jersey.

For their First Look, I drove Annie in a golf cart (my first time driving one ;]) to a bridge where she and Javier saw each other for the first time that day. It was a beautiful moment. I always love first looks. I'm so glad Annie trusted me driving her in her beautiful dress in a golf cart, it was not a short drive. =D Also check out that beautiful brooch bouquet Annie is holding. Another awesome DIY detail.

For the reception, it was held under a big, white tent. It was beautiful. Surrounded with colors of autumn. There was a cigar bar, a candy bar, two cakes!!!! (TWO!) Guests were dancing the night away. I won't ever forget Javier's face when he saw his Mario Groom's cake. It was seriously awesome, and such a thoughtful surprise! The amazing thought that Annie had put into this wedding, down to every last detail is something to admire. The little touches here and there, I could hardly keep up. Everytime I turned around I was noticing something else! She even had the cutest (I say cutest in the sense that this was really cute, considering I am one of those people that are terrified of creepy crawly things) spider brooch in her hair! Another fall Halloween element she added. She had personalized the wedding to make it completely her own, and she did it to make her and Javier happy. It was their day. That is something that everyone should admire. I know I do.

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your big day, Annie & Javier! I could not have been more honored to photograph such an amazing event!

2015 - A Reflection

When I reflect back on 2015, I think about how truly blessed I was. This past year my business really took off, and I'm headed in a direction where I've wanted to be for quite some time. I've put in a lot of work, and I've loved every minute of it. I've met photographers and other creatives that I couldn't be happier about meeting. If you want to succeed at something, you must throw yourself into it, body and soul.

I have been gifted with the most amazing brides & grooms around. I work with such sweet couples, and each and every one of them tells such a sweet love story and I wrap myself up in their special day. Thank you, to each and every couple I have photographed, I cannot wait to see where life takes you. I cannot wait to see you all travel, to make a house a home, to have children if that's what you wish to do, and watch your extended family grow. I love seeing my couples evolving, it brings me so much joy. Thank you so much, I really have love for you.

When I look forward to 2016, I see success. I see optimism. I see travel. I don't know what the future holds for me, but I know I'm going to take it and run with it. I'm going to make every year to come what I want it to be. I couldn't imagine my life without photography in it, without weddings in it. I want to also thank everyone who has been a part of my 2015, my 2014, and all the years before. All the years leading up to this. Without your motivation, without your positive vibes and encouragement, I'm not sure where I would be. You all mean the world to me.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! Now....the best moments, memories, & photographs of 2015.
